"Motor" magazine has named the Porsche Boxster S Australia's "performance car of the year". The two-door convertible was selected ahead of Audi's S3, Subaru's Impreza WRX STi, Mercedes-Benz's SL55 and E55, and Ford Motor Company Australia's XR6 Turbo. The Boxster S has a six-cylinder engine and costs $A133,100. The cars were judged on top-speed and acceleration runs, timed laps, and skid control testing.
