Australasian Business Intelligence, April, 2003
Apr 27, 2003 (Food Management News - ABIX via COMTEX)
Budenheim, a German food phosphates company, has switched to Oppenheimer, who deal in soy concentrates. Budenheim was formerly held by Fernz Chemicals, which has recently merged into Orica. In Australia, consumption of food phosphates is about 25,000 tonnes a year. Food phosphates are used for meat, as well as in commercial baking. At present, the only Australian producer is Rhodia/A&W. Oppenheimer sees good prospects for growth in Australia. There have been some executive changes at Orica and Oppenheimer.
