Gauging employees' emotional wellbeing.

Since the establishment of the "emotional intelligence" (EQ) concept, most people agree that it is important in the workplace. However, the task of identifying and measuring EQ is much more difficult than acknowledging its existence. A test, known as SUEIT (Swinburne University Emotional Intelligence Test) has been developed in Australia for use by workplaces. Studies have supported the idea that emotionally intelligent workers perform better and are higher achievers. The application of SUEIT in the testing of job applicants is another potential use.
