Rivkin takes stock as jail looms.

Flamboyant Sydney-based stockbroker Rene Rivkin, who has been found guilty of insider trading, faces jail. Rivkin claimed, in a document published on his Internet web site, that he has been subjected to a "tall Poppy syndrome" campaign. Rivkin is yet to be charged and faces a potential maximum five years imprisonment. Ian Ramsay, law professor at the University of Melbourne, believes it is difficult to predict what sentence Rivkin will receive, as there are few precedents.
