Coca-Cola Amatil sweetener turns Neverfail to water.

Australian-listed beverage giant Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) has increased its takeover offer for Neverfail Springwater. CCA will now pay $A2.35 per share, up from $A2.25 previously, valuing the bid at $A292m. CCA will also declare the bid unconditional if it receives acceptances for 50.1 per cent of Neverfail's shares by 20 June 2003. An independent expert has valued Neverfail at between $A2.49 and $A2.80 per share. A rival bid for Neverfail is now considered unlikely.
