Charter 'no waste'.
Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2003
Jun 20, 2003 (Traveltrade - ABIX via COMTEX)
Tourism industry groups have rejected the idea that the "Charter for Safe Travel" is a waste of time. The program commits travel agents to staying abreast of current Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade (DFAT) advisories and warnings. Tony Wheeler, from Lonely Planet, says the whole exercise is a waste of time and money. The information, he says, is already clearly and easily available in a variety of different places, including, he says, DFAT's own web site. It is in the newspapers every day as well, says Wheeler.
