Bank's $1.2m investment in Adelaide Festival.

The Adelaide Bank is the biggest sponsor of the famous Adelaide Festival of arts. On 16 June 2003, it was announced that Adelaide Bank will sponsor the Festival in 2004 and 2006, with $A1.2 million. The Adelaide Bank will have naming rights and will have the right of first refusal on the 2008 and 2010 Festivals. Barry Fitzpatrick, of the Adelaide Bank, said that one key reason for the sponsorship is the fact that the bank has been part of Adelaide's history for 100 years. He noted that the bank is a company that has its "head and heart" in South Australia. There will be other sponsors of the Adelaide Festival and their details will be unveiled in coming months.
