Singapore slings $200m at tourism.

The World Health Organization has lifted a travel warning for Singapore. The Singapore Government has allocated $A230m to support the country's tourism industry, which has been greatly affected by the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) epidemic. Kevin Leong, the Singapore Tourism Board's Oceania area director, said the cruise ship, "SuperStar Virgo", will return to Singapore in July, and he hopes this will encourage Western Australians to follow. Manny Papadopoulis, WA Tourism Council president, says the Australian Government should follow the example set by the Singapore Government.
