How to sell more beer to women.

Australasian Business Intelligence, June, 2003

Jun 06, 2003 (Grocers' Review (NZ) - ABIX via COMTEX)

Interbrew believes that beer manufacturers are ignoring half of their markets by focusing primarily on men. Molson Canadian's new advertising campaign involves both men and women, and features in traditionally female and male publications, such as "Cosmopolitan" and "Playboy". Interbrew estimates that wine consumption will eventually eclipse beer consumption unless breweries expand their marketing strategies. Beer sales in Great Britain have declined steadily over the last decade, while wine companies have increased sales by 35 per cent since 1998.
