Bacardi Lion: the right mix.

Bacardi Lion plans to spend $A17m by mid-2004 trying to dominate Australia's $A2bn ready-to-drink market. Formed in a merger between Australasian brewer and wine group, Lion Nathan, and sprits brand, Bacardi-Martini, Bacardi Lion will heavily rely on getting sole access to Lion's distribution networks with its flagship drink, "Bacardi Breezer". McCann-Erickson, which has Bacardi-Martini's Quality Brands International advertising account, will also act for Bacardi Lion. Bacardi Lion's MD, Julian Williams, says the aim is to offer consumers more drinks at better prices in more places.
