The use of direct marketing (DM) is increasing at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). Such marketing includes electronic DM, or eDM, which is both cheap and fast. The CBA's marketing team analyses all products and decides on the best way to sell them. The use of DM enables the focus to be placed on the individual customer and their needs.
