Clustering has its benefits.

Western Australia has yet to take advantage of the benefits of information and communications technology (ICT) clustering. Clustering, whereby companies or institutions collaborate on areas of common interest, is considered the best way to advance the industry and secure new markets. However, WA has shown minimal interest in the strategy, despite having the environment to facilitate successful clusters. The Australian Computer Society has initiated meetings with the intent to establish specialist ICT clusters, such as in the mining and resources sector.
