Macquarie searches the US for investments.

Macquarie Bank is looking to offer Australian investors direct US property investment products. According to Richard Cutler, chief executive officer of Macquarie Direct Investment, the performance of the CountryWide and ProLogis partnerships had convinced the group to focus on the US, though it would also look at possible investments in Asia and Europe. Property Investment Research director Mark Wist says Macquarie's partnerships have given it crucial experience in the US property investment market.
