Keeling escapes bankruptcy.

Australasian Business Intelligence, July, 2003

Jul 23, 2003 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX)

A creditors' meeting has decided against bankruptcy for Bradley Keeling, co-founder of failed Australian telco, One.Tel. Instead, Keeling's assets will be assigned to David Kerr of RSM Bird Cameron in his capacity as Keeling's trustee. A major One.Tel creditor, the Australian Taxation Office, had called for bankruptcy proceedings to be launched against Keeling to recover some of the $A8 million it says One.Tel owes it. However, a $A92 million creditor, namely One.Tel's liquidator, led the successful vote for the Kerr option. Creditors can expect about $A0.01 in the dollar from Keeling's estate.
