Cheers for the beer operations.

Australasian Business Intelligence, August, 2003

Aug 26, 2003 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX)

In 2002-03, for the first time in five years, Australian beer and wine group, Foster's, increased both beer sales and market share. The Carlton & United Brewery (CUB) unit increased beer volumes by one per cent and moved to a 55 per cent share of the Australian beer market, compared with 41.7 for main rival, Lion Nathan. CUB's revenue from Australian beer sales improved by 6.1 to $A1.65 billion. It was a successful result for new CUB MD, Trevor O'Hoy, who is tipped to replace Foster's CEO, Ted Kunkel, when he retires, possibly in late 2004.
