The public can't get enough of online banking.

Internet banking is becoming increasingly popular with retail and business customers. Visits to banking and finance web sites have risen almost 20 per cent in the 12 months to July 2003, Nielsen Netratings has revealed. According to Markus von der Luehe, a senior analyst with Netratings, the increase outpaces the six per cent growth within the online market. During the period, online shopping grew by 19.4 cent. The Market Intelligence Strategy Centre reported in its findings that there was a 24 per cent jump in Internet banking transfers during the December 2002 quarter.
