Fee quandary hurts industry.

The financial planning industry could soon be hit by new regulations about fee disclosure. A Security Institute of Australia (SIA) survey has shown that 70 per cent of fund managers believe that fee disclosure rules postulated by the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) must have the backing of legal penalties to work effectively. SIA president Ian Neal says that the industry's response to rampant disillusionment by investors must be swift, rigorous and relentless.
