Net poses problems for copyright law.

The Australian Government has invited a broad range of debate in its plan to reform its Internet copyright laws. In the weeks ahead, the government will get inputs on what are seen as the strengths and weaknesses of the 2001 Copyright Amendment (Digital Agenda) Act. Lobby groups are already in full swing, including the Australian Record Industry Association and the Internet Industry Association. These two groups are yet to agree on how much responsibility Internet service providers should have for copyright piracy carried out by their customers. Makers of computer games, such as Sony, will be vitally affected by any law change in that area.
