Microsoft braces for Blaster virus.

Microsoft Australia is facing the threat of the MS Blast computer virus in August 2003. The worm, which has infected thousands of computers worldwide, is set to disable the Microsoft website from which users can download the cure for problems in the software which is vulnerable to the virus. Steve Vamos, Microsoft Australia managing director, says it is difficult to predict the extent of the problem but that significant numbers of staff have been added to the company help-desk.
