A new method of disposing of greenhouse gases, known as carbon sequestration, has not been well received in developing countries. They worry that carbon sequestration, based on burying carbon dioxide underground, will be an extra burden for their power generation systems. However, the cost of sequestration is prohibitive for power plants operating in developing countries.
