[1691] ACIS Bills: Senate recommends automotive R&D focus on green technology.

Assistance for the automotive industry in Australia has been approved. The ACIS Administration Amendment Bill 2003 and the Customs Tariff Amendment (ACIS) Bill 2003 were passed by the Senate on 16 September 2003 without amendment. The Senate supported the Democrats' suggestion that environmentally-friendly R&D projects be favoured when distributing funds to the automotive industry.
