Manage young talent through understanding.

Australasian Business Intelligence, September, 2003

Sep 04, 2003 (HR Report - ABIX via COMTEX)

Members of Generation X and Generation Y have different work expectations to those of the baby boom generation. This is according to Robin Kramar from Macquarie University's Centre for Australasian Human Resource Management. Kramar says that members of the two generations had a need for change, while they also appreciate being involved in the design of their job. She also says that integrity is very important to them. She says that companies can satisfy the need of young staff for change by making it easy for them to transfer from department to department or from one location to another, and by providing secondments for them.
