Ad blitz to woo American tourists.
Australasian Business Intelligence, September, 2003
Sep 07, 2003 (The West Australian - ABIX via COMTEX)
A new advertising campaign to attract tourists is being launched in the US and Canada. Ken Boundy, Australian Tourist Commission MD, says the 12-month, $A10m promotional "blitz" incorporates a deal with National Geographic, and will include advertisements in magazines and newspapers, on television and on the Internet. He says the campaign, in which Qantas Airways is a partner, plays on the idea most North American visitors have that visiting Australia is an adventure experience.
