Magazine inserts boost advertising.

Australian publishers are locked in battle for an increased share of the corporate advertising dollar. Newspaper publisher, John Fairfax Holdings, is attracting strong advertising revenue in its new liftout supplements, such as "The Sydney Magazine" in "The Sydney Morning Herald" and "Life & Leisure" in "The Australian Financial Review". Kerry Packer-controlled ACP Publishing is trying to increase advertising revenue from its magazines. Packer will not sit idly by, while Fairfax plunders his revenue market.
