ABC Learning Centres cashes up.

Sep 15, 2003 (The Australian Financial Markets Newsletter - INSTO - ABIX via COMTEX) -- ABC Learning Centres has announced a $A12 million ($US7.8 million) net profit for 2002-03. The Australian child care centre operator also revealed that it has raised $A40.2 million in a placement of 13.4 million shares to professional investors. The shares were priced at $A3 each. Funds raised will be used for expansion. ABC may hold further capital raisings of up to $A60 million in the three months from September 2003. Austock Brokers may manage a converting preference share priority offering to existing shareholders. ABC is entering the New Zealand market.
