Beijing criticizes as "insincere" idea by Taiwan for flights.

Australasian Business Intelligence, September, 2003

Sep 18, 2003 (The Asian Wall Street Journal - ABIX via COMTEX)

The Chinese Government has criticised a proposal made by the Taiwanese Government for regular cargo flights to China. Pu Zhazhou, the head of the China Civil Aviation Authority, said that the proposal has several faults. The main problem is that the Taiwansese officials proposed that only Taiwanese planes would be involved in the transport link. China has also objected to the way the proposal was drafted and announced. No Chinese officials participated in its preparation.
