Emotional intelligence, the next big test.

New research has suggested that IQ testing may not be the most accurate test for job matching. Studies underway at Swinburne University in Melbourne are attempting to establish if standardised tests for emotional intelligence (EQ) can be developed, and if so, whether the results can easily be linked to job performance. The research is using data obtained from recruiter Hamilton James & Bruce, and expects some results around the end of October 2003.
