Migrants to boost bubble.

New research has argued that migration is linked to the upward pressure on house prices and housing affordability in Australia. The Monash University's Centre for Population & Urban Research study has found that a high portion of new households could be directly attributed to migration. The study said that the growth in the number of households placed pressure on housing affordability and contributed to increased real estate prices. The study has found that the number of households in Perth was expected to increase by 12,293 in 2003-04, with about 34.3 per cent a result of migration.
