Westpac is the most socially responsible company in Australia. Repu Index, a social responsibility index prepared by the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, has ranked Australian companies according to their corporate governance, environmental and social impact, and workplace practices. Australia Post, Shell Australia and Alcoa are also among the most responsible corporations. To compile the list of socially responsible companies, the Macquarie University Graduate School of Management used information provided by the following organizations: Diversity@work, Standards Australia, the Australian Institute of Management, Monash University Accident Research Centre and the ACTU.
