According to International Data Corporation 83 per cent of Australian companies with over 100 employees state they have disaster plans. That applies particularly to those with a heavy IT commitment, and usually includes some form of data back-up. However, few companies have contingency plans for other critical business functions, such as customer service, human resources, and financial systems operations.
