The Australian "home automation" market is set to grow rapidly. Home automation analyst, Frost & Sullivan, reports that the market for monitoring and control products which automate the function of home devices is likely to reach $A32 million by 2008. Skynetglobal subsidiary, W Home, is offering consumers apartment buildings complete with services such as immediate high-speed wireless Internet access. The most popular home automation system is X10, which allows consumers integrated access to mobile telephone SMS, the Internet and voice activation software.
