Australian discount airline Virgin Blue is facing a tough competition with Jetstar, owned by Qantas. Travel industry sources believe Virgin Blue's youth culture could be a pitfall for its business. While Qantas has a system of providing incentives and bonuses, Virgin Blue's approach is apparently not successful. Qantas uses incentives to promote sales through travel agents such as Flight Centre. Virgin Blue lacks certain expertise, said a market source.
