Australian-listed Foster's Group is satisfied that there is no need for further action over share trading by a former executive. Robert Porter has resigned as the alcoholic beverages group's vice-president of investor relations, following revelations that he sold some Foster's shares in contravention of its guidelines on share transactions. Foster's believes that the share trading could have been inadvertent, and because Porter has resigned, it regards the matter as being resolved. Foster's says it now wants to focus on its $A3.1bn takeover bid for Southcorp.
