Benchmarks for the Australian franchise industry have been delayed by legal concerns. The Franchise Council of Australia is considering the creation of a benchmarking system. This would involve tables of the top 200 franchises. It is felt that benchmarks would reduce the number of disputes between franchisees and franchisors.
