Australian transport and logistics group Patrick Corporation is planning a massive investment at Swanson Dock. It is the international container terminal at the Port of Melbourne. The Swanson Dock project will seek to determine the port's future. Patrick CEO Chris Corrigan says the project will create a "world-class transport hub". Patrick wants to double its capacity at Swanson Dock to more than two million containers. At Patrick's stockholders' meeting on 3 February 2005, one of the major issues will be the takeover bid for Virgin Blue.
