The company behind the Mitcham-Frankston tollway in Melbourne is focusing on radio adverts to recruit workers. Thiess-John Holland began running a series of commercials in December 2004 to alert potentially interested staff to the fact that the $A2.5 billion project would soon be looking for over 2,000 staff. Then in February 2005, new commercials were run, advising people that they could now start applying for jobs via the internet. Thus far, Thiess-John Holland has received registrations of interest from 5,000 people.
