Santos's oil reserves continuing to grow.(Santos Ltd.)(Brief Article)

Australian-listed oil and gas producer Santos has presented bullish figures on its proven reserves. The Adelaide-based group's replacement rate for proven reserves has averaged 130 per cent over the last three years, and its replacement reserves in 2004 were higher than its total production for the year. Santos now has proven reserves of 348 million barrels of oil equivalent (mboe), up from 338 million a year ago. Its proven and probable reserves now total 643 mboe, although this does not include its recent oil finds in Indonesia. Santos shares rose $A0.38 to $A9.65 on 15 February 2005.
