Australian real estate developer, Lend Lease, still hopes to negotiate an alliance with General Property Trust (GPT). MD of Lend Lease, Greg Clarke, said that the company wanted to seek some relationship with GPT that would give future growth. He said that Lend Lease would not sell its holding in UK shopping centre, Bluewater, to gain support from Westfield. He also said that a merger would not involve a scheme of arrangement. He said that the company was not in discussion with rival bidder Stockland, but would not comment about Westfield.
