Bidder milks market.(San Miguel Corp. acquires King's Creameries)(Brief Article)

Philippines-based San Miguel has announced the acquisition of King's Creameries, one of Asia's leading ice cream groups. San Miguel is also seeking to acquire Australian-listed dairy products giant National Foods. San Miguel is offering $A6 a share for National Foods, trumping the $A5.45 per share offer from New Zealand's Fonterra Co-operative Group. San Miguel has indicated that it intends to use milk supplied by Victorian dairy farmers in many of its food businesses in the Asia-Pacific region.
