WPP Group, the world's second-largest advertising company, has acquired Grey Worldwide. Grey was taken over in a $A1.3 billion cash and stock deal. Grey is looking for new business in 2005. The agency's Asia-Pacific CEO, Mike Amour, recently met with key management in Melbourne. Amour does not expect any changes following the acquisition. He says Grey will try to bring international business accounts to the region. Amour wants the agency to create "centres of excellence" in the region.
