Investors wary of greenback rally.(Brief Article)
Australasian Business Intelligence, March, 2005 by Baker, Philip
Mar 28, 2005 (The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX)
The last week in March 2005 will be an uneasy one for both stock market investors and currency traders. New US economic data will be released that will show whether inflation is growing and whether the recent improvement in the US dollar will continue. If inflation is on the rise, then the US Federal Reserve may take a more aggressive stance on monetary policy, raising interest rates in increments of 50 basis points. As the "greenback" has gathered strength against the euro, the Australian dollar has lost ground.
