ANZ calls for better-funded OFPC.(Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner)(Brief Article)

The Australian Government should boost the Office of the Federal Privacy Commissioner's (OFPC) resources. So said the ANZ Bank in its submission to the Australian Senate Legal & Constitutional Committee's inquiry into the Federal Privacy Act. It believes that with more funds, the OFPC would be able to notify the bank of a complaint it has received more quickly, as well as better ensure consistency in the states' approach to privacy.
