Ikon Communications was established by the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) to work for its marketing department. However, its managing partner, Gary Hardwick, says this is not the only reason why Ikon secured the best score of any advertising or media agency in the world under APRAIS' client/agency relationship rating system. Hardwick says that the CBA has had a lot of turnover in its marketing department since Ikon was created, so Ikon has not been allowed to get complacent.
