The National Australia Bank (NAB) has announced plans to introduce an SMS-password security service. The service will eventually be made available to all internet banking customers. The password system will further protect NAB customers from falling victim to security breaches. Under the new system, customers logging on to the NAB site will be sent an automatically generated text message containing a password. The password will change every time the customer uses online banking. Customers can register for the SMS service online, and do not need to visit a branch.
