The Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) will undertake a review of its five policy statements. Its policies have not changed since it underwent a restructure in 2000, because it has had to focus on new international accounting standards. The AASB is also considering its relationship with the Urgent Issues Group, an AASB subcommittee since 2000. Meanwhile, the European Commission wants Europe to have more members on the International Accounting Standards Board.
