With annual revenue of $A882.1 million, Barclay Mowlem appears at 80th place in the latest BRW list of "Top Foreign Companies". The list ranks the 300 biggest foreign-owned companies operating in Australia on the basis of their revenue. Barclay Mowlem, which is a building and engineering firm, began life as Barclay Brothers, but was acquired by the British-based Mowlem in 1993. Barclay Mowlem earns between 15 and 18 per cent of Mowlem's turnover, and, says CEO David Hudson, is basically the latter's international unit.
