FAST speeds up check-in times.(fully automated seamless travel system for Changi Airport)(Brief Article)

A biometrics-based security system is being tested at Singapore's Changi Airport. The Fully Automated Seamless Travel (FAST) system is being trailed by Singapore Airlines, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority. FAST is intended to offer faster check-in and immigration processing to frequent flyers. Checkout via mobile phone is also being offered to Singapore Airlines frequent flyers and members of the carrier's web site. The carrier is preparing to launch in-flight Internet services.
