The Australian property group, Lend Lease, has become a major player in the UK property market. Lend Lease has now teamed up with London's Minerva to develop Park Place, the town centre of Croydon, in south London. The two have also bid for a 50 stake in the Whitgift Shopping Centre in Croydon. The Bovis Lend Lease subsidiary is already working on some big UK projects. This group is now on a shortlist drawn up by the UK Foreign Office. The latter is looking for a construction group for a Stg150 million project to build new British embassies.
