Two Australian car makers have unveiled convertible models as car sales continue to rise. Holden displayed its 1.8-litre two-door Tigra at the Melbourne Motor Show on 3 March 2005. It will be on sale later in 2005. Ford displayed a concept model, the convertible Focus Vignale. There were 81,099 new vehicles sold in Australia in February. Sales were helped by the reduction of tariffs on imported cars. Holden sold 15,193 cars, while Toyota sold 15,130 and Ford sold 11,182.
