Philippines-based San Miguel has raised concerns about the takeover offer for National Foods. New Zealand dairy company, Fonterra, has increased its takeover bid for the Australian dairy company to $A1.84 billion, beating San Miguel's offer of $A1.78 billion. Part of the offer is a possible joint venture with French-owned yoghurt brand, Yoplait, in Australia and New Zealand. San Miguel has applied to the Australian Takeovers Panel, claiming that there has been inadequate disclosure about the joint venture.
